Satta Matka Glossary — Open, Close, Jodi, Pana, Sangam & More
Why a glossary helps
Most of the confusion around Satta Matka charts comes down to vocabulary. The underlying idea is simple; the words just take a moment to learn. Here are the terms you will meet most often.
Core terms
- Market (bazar) — a named game with its own schedule, e.g. Kalyan, Milan, Rajdhani. Each market declares its own results.
- Open — the first result session of the day for a market.
- Close — the second result session of the day.
- Ank — a single digit, 0–9. Many results ultimately reduce to an ank.
- Pana (panna) — a three-digit number, e.g.
128. There is an open pana and a close pana each day. - Jodi — a two-digit pair formed from the open and close results.
Types of pana
- Single pana — all three digits are different, e.g.
123. - Double pana — two digits are the same, e.g.
112. - Triple pana — all three digits are the same, e.g.
555.
Combined terms
- Sangam — a combination that ties open and close together. A half sangam pairs one pana with the opposite side's ank; a full sangam pairs the open pana with the close pana.
- Cut / bracket — informal ways players group related numbers.
How they fit together
A day's result reads as open pana – jodi – close pana, for example
128-16-470. Read that as: the open pana was 128, the close pana was 470, and
the jodi formed from them was 16. Once that single line makes sense, every chart
on the site does too.
